Memphis Que: I am a lifelong Memphian attempting to sample as many of my city's barbecue and soul food restaurants as possible. In the process I frequently use food as a jumping off point to discuss other issues affecting the Midsouth. I'm also trying to demonstrate how to make healthy choices while enjoying my area's abundance of barbecue and soul food restaurants. There are plenty of unhealthy, overweight people in the South, and too many people blame it on all the pork we eat. I want to exonerate the pork fat, which is a healthy real food, and show that the real secret to healthy eating is avoiding the processed junk.
